BLOG POST | Get your Flat White on! Is your flat white as good as 'Barista of the Year' Tom

This Christmas Wetherby's very own Tom King will be competing in Costa Coffee's Christmas edition of 'Barista of the Year' (European Finals). After already winning 1st place in the whole of the UK during the summer, Tom has be entered into the European Christmas Finals which will be taking place at Wembley Stadium in London on 23rd December.

Tom will be going up against other winning 'Barista of the Year' champions from other countries in Europe and says he is 'already feeling the pressure but after practicing loads at work throughout the past couple of months I feel good and ready to go.'

Tom has already received his Flat White badge and is currently in training to become a Barista Maestro. The team at Wetherby have been making sure that Tom has been having the best training possible, to produce brand standard coffees under pressure in preparation for the European Finals.

As well as competing, Tom is also participating in the #MyCostaChristmas campaign run around Central London. All local and surrounding stores are participating, as well as the European Finals contestants. All participating will be in Christmas themed fancy dress in order to promote Costa's new Christmas campaign, and all money raised on the day will be donated to the Costa Foundation.
